The Battersea Poltergeist
Between 1956 and 1968, the Hitchings family in Battersea reported terrifying paranormal activities in their home.
The disturbances centered around a teenage girl, Shirley Hitchings, and included furniture moving on its own, unexplained knocks, and even messages appearing on the walls.
The poltergeist, nicknamed “Donald,” became infamous for its violent outbursts and chilling interactions.
Investigators and mediums attempted to communicate with the spirit, but no concrete explanation was ever found.
Even decades later, Shirley maintained that the experiences were real, and the Battersea Poltergeist remains one of London’s most well-documented hauntings.
